The Complete Skills Solutions is a part of The Progress Group family, formerly Innovative Alliance, we cover the whole of England but have a strong foothold in the Northwest where we deliver funded and commercial training to adults. Our service helps to upskill future workforces, helping to meet the skills demands within the regions in which they work. 


The Role:

As the Head of Business Development, you will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to drive business growth. Your role will involve:

You will be:

  • Provide united and coherent leadership and management of the Business Development agenda for Complete Skills Solutions across every aspect of the business.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to develop a culture of high motivation and success within own and wider teams.
  • Establish excellent working relationships with Governors and SMT colleagues and provide regular reports, advice, analysis, interpretation, and recommendations.
  • Contribute, support and drive to the organisational business development strategy in line with the strategic business plan.
  • Work with the business development team, trainers, administrators, and other managers to achieve positive business focused outcomes.
  • Engage and establish strong working relationships with potential employers/clients to develop and deliver effective training to meet identified needs.


You will have:

  • Experience of senior leadership and successfully developing and delivering an organisational strategy.
  • Experience of working within a Learner Management System and working within and managing a CRM system. 
  • Experience of working within Ofsted inspection methodology. 
  • Experience of working with employers, agencies, young people and adults to offer a learner centred curriculum.
