An opening has arisen for a Regional Engagement, Attendance and Welfare Officer (EAWO) offering a chance to be a key part of changing the lives of children aged 11 to 16 at a leading Alternative Education School. You will support the schools within the allocated region to promote, secure and sustain positive engagement, welfare, and attendance using specialist interventions with the student and/or their families. There are also additional administrative responsibilities for a number of Progress Schools within the area.
This will include working closely with the school staff to identify vulnerable students and implementing a bespoke package of support, utilising tools within Progress Schools, such as the SENCO and liaising closely with external agencies and teams around the child.
